After July 2023, the flooding in Kasur district, Pakistan, has left a trail of devastation, displacing thousands of families and damaged crops badly. Triggered by heavy monsoon rains and worsened by the release of excess reservoir water from India into the Sutlej River, the floods have posed significant challenges to the affected communities.
Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, Caritas Pakistan Lahore, conducted assessment in the flood affected areas and requested our partner Good Neighbors Korea, to respond to the crisis by implementing a comprehensive flood emergency relief project. This initiative aimed to provide essential assistance and support to those most affected, addressing critical needs such as food, hygiene, healthcare, and livestock management.
An agreement signed between Hamsaaya Consultancy (Private) Limited with the Caritas Lahore to provide services of 3rd Party project monitoring to the project implemented by Caritas Lahore and funded by Good Neighbors – Korea.
