Highlights

Hamsaaya delivered the Good Neighbors Early Childhood Development Programme (GN-ECDP) at ECD Tusi and ECD Thalaay in Baltistan's District Ghanche, where two classrooms were renovated with child-friendly furniture, colorful learning displays, and full sets of teaching and play material.
Because a classroom is only as good as the teacher in it, five teachers were sent to a three-month early childhood education training course, and a Project Management Committee with school, community, and Good Neighbors representatives was set up to keep the centers on track. WASH improvements — four renovated toilets and two new handwashing stations — were delivered alongside, so the same children learning their letters could also wash their hands safely.
